High Performance Hardware
The OneWeb dual parabolic antenna offers high throughput performance and efficiency with two identical 73cm antennas, mounted outside with a footprint of approximately 250cm x 75cm. Its key feature is reducing latency risk during satellite signal handover. The dual parabolic contains 2 receivers; one manages the active connection, while the second scans, locates, and connects to the next satellite in the constellation, seamlessly taking over when the signal is stronger. This handover process ensures constant connection to the closest satellite at all times.
The antenna connects via a coaxial cable to a Customer Network Exchange (CNX) unit, serving as the interface between the user’s equipment and the satellite network.
In addition, the latest generation Kymeta terminals, such as the Hawk U8, provide an excellent alternative where space is limited or rapid deployment is essential. Both the parabolic and Kymeta options are suitable for use in fixed land locations and mobile maritime deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is OneWeb?
OneWeb is a global satellite communications company aiming to provide affordable internet access to Australia, especially in remote and underserved areas. The company’s goal is to create a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites to deliver high-speed internet connectivity. This constellation of satellites enables broadband access in regions where traditional terrestrial infrastructure is limited or unavailable. Owing to its potential to bridge the digital divide, OneWeb has garnered attention as a promising player in the satellite internet industry.
What is the Internet Coverage?
OneWeb is available across Australia and provides internet speeds up to 100 Mbps, allowing users to enjoy connectivity just like their city-based counterparts, no matter where they’re operating.
How much does it cost?
There are many different variable that determine the costs of a OneWeb connection. With multiple terminals and broadband plans to choose between to customise your service.
How different is LEO to GEO satellite?
GEO (Geostationary Equatorial Orbit) satellites, like the nbn® Sky Muster Satellite, stay fixed above one spot on Earth’s surface. This means antennas don’t have to move to stay connected. On the other hand, LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellites, form networks with many satellites, often hundreds or thousands, to give continuous coverage and smooth connections.
GEO satellites are about 36,000 kilometers above Earth, while LEO satellites range from 160 to 2,000 kilometers high. This matters for users because it affects how quickly data travels. GEO services usually have a delay of about 600 milliseconds, while LEO can cut this down to 60-120 milliseconds, making it much faster.
Are there any limitations on who can be an Agent?
Yes, becoming a reseller is subject to approval by Skymesh. There is a minimum commitment that you must meet to become a reseller and the capabilities of you to service and support end-users. If unsuccessful, we have our Agent program which may be more suitable.
What are your support hours?
Our standard hours for Technical Support are 8am-8pm Monday to Friday. Depending on the level of support chosen, we also offer extended/weekend support and 24/7.
